  Who will do the circumcision?
The procedure will be performed by Mr. A Khan FRCS (Edinburgh).

Where do I come?
Upon booking you will be provided with the address of the clinic.

How long will the procedure take?
Expect to spend about one and a half hours at the clinic. This includes the total procedure time as well as the time spent after the procedure to observe your child for any problems.

Why does it take so long?
Your baby will be assessed to ensure that he is well. The doctor will take some details about your baby and about his health since birth. It is advisable to delay the procedure if your baby has received his immunisation for at least one week. If the doctor thinks your child is not suitable a full explanation will be given as to why and alternative arrangements will be made.

We would also wish to observe your baby for half an hour to an hour after the circumcision to ensure that the procedure has been successful.

What will happen at the clinic?
You will be asked to sign a consent form agreeing to the procedure being carried out on your son. It is suggested that both parents are present to sign the consent form. The pros and cons of the procedure will be explained to you as well before you sign the consent form.

How much does it cost?
Call us to obtain a quotation for a fresh or a revision of a procedure. A prior consultation for a revision will have to be carried out on the same day at the nominal charges of £25.

How do I pay?
We accept cash only. A cheque can also be accepted under exceptional circumstances but only along with the cheque guarantee card. You will be expected to make the payment to the receptionist/ secretary after signing the consent, and before the start of the procedure.

What is your policy regarding booking, cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment?
Bookings are only through appointments and a 48 hours notice is required for a cancellation or a rescheduling of the same appointment. Failure to do so will make the patients liable to pay the surcharge and administration fee which is 50% of the total cost of the procedure quoted.

In case where you wish to avail the facility for more than one person, a non refundable full fee will have to be deposited before the confirmation of the appointment. In this instance, a 7 working days notice is required if you wish to cancel or reschedule the appointment after the confirmation. This is important because we run a very long waiting list and in a situation like this where a patient does not arrive for the appointment, we are unable to offer the chance to someone else and also have to bear the loss of time and resources.
